More than a job. A calling. Join a CARF-accredited team of 19+ professionals transforming lives through addiction and mental health treatment in Bergen County, NJ.
Explore OpportunitiesSome people stumble into careers. Others are drawn to them by something deeper. If you've ever felt pulled toward helping people reclaim their lives from addiction or mental illness, Valley Spring Recovery Center is where that calling becomes your career.
We're a growing, CARF-accredited outpatient treatment center in Norwood, New Jersey, with a team of 19+ clinicians, counselors, coordinators, and support staff who show up every day because they believe recovery is possible for everyone. Under the clinical leadership of Henry Iwuala and the medical direction of Dr. Michael Olla, our team doesn't just treat diagnoses. We walk alongside people through the hardest chapters of their lives.
Whether you're a licensed therapist, a case manager with a passion for advocacy, or someone just starting your career in behavioral health, there's a place for you on this path. The question isn't whether you're qualified enough. It's whether you're ready to do work that matters.
Treatment centers are everywhere. Teams like ours are not. At Valley Spring, we built our culture around a simple belief: the people who do this work deserve the same care they give to others.
Our Restore, Activate, Accelerate, Thrive pathway isn't a marketing slogan. It's a structured, evidence-based clinical framework that gives every team member clarity about where patients are and where they're heading. You'll always know the purpose behind the work.
With an 8:1 therapist-to-patient ratio and process groups capped under 10 people, you won't be buried in paperwork while patients become numbers. You'll know every person by name, by story, by progress. That's how real treatment works.
We don't just treat the patient holistically. We support our team holistically. Yoga, sound baths, wellness programming, Health & Wellness 5 Pillars, Life Skills 5 Pillars — these aren't just for patients. They're part of our culture. When our team is healthy, our patients get better care.
Valley Spring is expanding. Our mental health program is scaling from virtual to in-person, new program tracks are launching, and our reputation in Bergen County is growing fast. Joining now means growing with us — not watching from the outside.
Our Dual-Licensed Matrix allows staff certified in both SUD and Mental Health to work across tracks. You won't be siloed into one department. Your expertise gets applied where it matters most, and you'll broaden your clinical skills in the process.
We're always looking for compassionate, driven professionals to join the Valley Spring team. Below are our current openings. Don't see the right fit? We encourage you to reach out anyway — the path forward sometimes starts with a conversation.
Provide individual and group therapy using CBT, DBT, and EMDR modalities. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in our Partial Care and IOP programs.
Facilitate process groups and psychoeducational sessions across IOP and Virtual programs. Experience with motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders strongly valued.
Coordinate patient care including insurance verification, FMLA documentation, court-related paperwork, housing resources, and aftercare planning. Strong advocacy skills and knowledge of NJ social services preferred.
Lead our Health & Wellness programming based on the 5 Pillars (Sleep, Movement, Nervous System Regulation, Psychoeducation, Medication Literacy). Background in fitness, yoga, mindfulness, or holistic health welcome.
We're always growing. If you're passionate about recovery work and don't see a perfect match above, send us your resume anyway. We review every application and keep qualified candidates in mind for future openings.

Valley Spring is expanding rapidly. New programs, new tracks, new roles. Your career trajectory here isn't linear — it's exponential. Early team members grow into leadership.
Weekly treatment team meetings, collaborative decision-making, therapist-client matching based on your specializations. You're not a cog — you're a partner.
Market-rate salaries with performance incentives. 1.5x hourly rate for active group facilitation. Paid time off and holiday schedule included.
Every Wednesday, our treatment team gathers. Not to talk about quotas or utilization rates, but to talk about people. Which therapist is the best match for a new patient. How to adjust a treatment plan that isn't working. What a patient said in group that changed the room.
That's the culture at Valley Spring. It's clinical excellence without the corporate distance. It's a team that debates, collaborates, and sometimes disagrees — because getting it right matters more than being right.
Program Coordinators Ron Lopez and Cameron Kennedy meet every new patient at the door — as people first, before any paperwork. That philosophy extends to staff too. You're a person here, not an employee number.
Our Life Skills 5 Pillars curriculum? Built internally. Health & Wellness program with a sleep specialist? Our idea. If you have a better way to help patients, we want to hear it.
Many of our team members have personal connections to recovery. We don't just accept that — we honor it. Lived experience is a clinical asset, not a liability.
We're members of the Bergen County Chamber of Commerce and Bergen Resource Net. Our community outreach team, led by James Sands and Brian Cellary, builds real relationships across the region. When you join Valley Spring, you join a community — not just a clinic.
These aren't words on a wall. They're the standards our team holds itself to every day. When you join Valley Spring, you're agreeing to walk this path with us.
We do the right thing no matter what. In treatment decisions, in patient interactions, in the hard conversations nobody wants to have. Integrity isn't negotiable.
We work to better our patients' lives. Not when it's convenient. Not when it's easy. Every day, every session, every phone call. Recovery demands relentless effort, and so do we.
We serve each other and our clients with humility and care. The ego gets checked at the door. The patient's needs always come first. Always.
We treat everyone with dignity and value every perspective. Patients, families, colleagues — everyone who walks through our doors deserves to be seen, heard, and respected.
We work with intention and hold ourselves to a high standard. Clinical excellence isn't a goal — it's a baseline. We measure, improve, and never settle.
Collaboration and unity guide our success. Treatment team meetings, dual-licensed flexibility, cross-track support — we win together, or not at all.
When you join Valley Spring, you join a team that has earned the highest standards of recognition in the industry. These credentials aren't just for marketing — they reflect the clinical rigor and ethical standards you'll be working within every day.
