What Our Community Says

Valley Spring saved my life. I came in broken, scared, and honestly ready to give up. The team — every single one of them — treated me like family from day one. Eight months later, I have my kids back and a job I love. There aren't words big enough.

My son went through Valley Spring's program and it changed our entire family. The Together We Heal workshop helped us understand what he was going through and how to actually support him, not just worry. We're closer now than we've been in years.

Your Path Forward: 4 Stages of Recovery

We designed a clear, progressive model so you always know where you are and where you're headed. Each stage builds on the last.

1

Restore — Partial Care

The foundation. Intensive daily programming provides structure, stabilization, and the clinical support needed to build a solid recovery base. This is where healing begins — with safety, routine, and expert care.

2

Activate — IOP

Building momentum. Evening intensive outpatient sessions help you practice new skills in real-world settings while maintaining therapeutic support. You'll deepen coping strategies and strengthen peer connections.

3

Accelerate — Virtual / Outpatient

Growing independence. Reduced-frequency sessions, available virtually or in-person, let you apply everything you've learned while the safety net stays in place. Confidence builds as you navigate daily life with new tools.

4

Thrive — Alumni

Lifelong community. Monthly meetings, events, and peer support ensure you're never alone. Recovery is a lifelong practice, and Valley Spring is your home base — always.

Frequently Asked Questions

Partial Care (PHP) is our most intensive level — six days a week, six hours a day. It's designed for people stepping down from inpatient or who need significant daily structure. IOP (Intensive Outpatient) runs in the evenings, either 5 or 3 days a week, so you can maintain work and family commitments. Outpatient/Virtual IOP is the most flexible, with 3 sessions per week from home. Each level builds on the last in our 4-stage recovery model.
Yes. Our Mental Health Program is specifically designed for individuals whose primary challenge is a mental health condition — anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and more — with or without co-occurring substance use. It meets three days a week and uses CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches.
Treatment length varies by individual need. Partial Care typically lasts 2-4 weeks, IOP runs 6-12 weeks, and Virtual IOP offers ongoing flexibility. Our clinical team continuously assesses progress and adjusts your plan. The Alumni Program continues indefinitely — because recovery doesn't have an end date.
Together We Heal is a free, 6-session workshop open to any family members or loved ones — even if your family member isn't a Valley Spring client. It covers communication skills, boundary-setting, understanding addiction, and building a supportive home environment. Sessions are led by licensed clinicians who specialize in family dynamics and recovery.
Our clinical team uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR for trauma, Motivational Interviewing, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) including Suboxone and Vivitrol. We also incorporate family therapy, group counseling, life skills training, and holistic wellness practices like yoga, mindfulness, sound baths, ice baths, nutrition counseling, and guided hiking.
In most cases, same-day or next-day admission is available. Call us at (201) 781-8812 or submit the insurance verification form, and our admissions team will get back to you within the hour. We understand that when you're ready, every moment matters.
