Insurance & Payment Questions
Most verifications are completed within one business day. If you call our admissions line directly at (201) 781-8812, we can often verify your benefits within minutes during the call. Same-day verification is available.
Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, most insurance plans are required to cover substance use disorder treatment at the same level as other medical conditions. This includes outpatient programs like Partial Care, IOP, and individual therapy. We verify the specifics of your plan to give you a clear picture of your benefits.
This depends on your specific insurance plan. Out-of-pocket costs can include deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. During the verification process, our admissions team will review all of these details with you so there are no surprises. Many of our clients have little to no out-of-pocket cost.
If your insurance initially denies authorization, our team will work on your behalf to appeal the decision with your provider. We also offer guidance on self-pay options and can discuss alternative payment arrangements. Your recovery is too important to be blocked by a first denial.
Absolutely. All information you provide is protected under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 federal confidentiality regulations. We will never share your information with employers, family members, or anyone else without your written consent. Your privacy is a foundational part of our care.
Valley Spring provides ASAM Levels 0.5, I, and II — which include Early Intervention, Outpatient (OP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Partial Hospitalization (PHP). Most insurance plans that cover behavioral health will authorize at least one of these levels. Our admissions team will determine exactly which levels your plan covers.
Please call our admissions team at (201) 781-8812 for the most up-to-date information on Medicaid and Medicare coverage. Our team will verify your specific plan and discuss all available options for coverage.
Yes. Our Virtual IOP and Mental Health IOP programs are fully covered by insurance the same way in-person services are. Valley Spring holds both a Substance Use Disorder license and a Mental Health license in New Jersey, so both types of treatment can be billed to your insurance.
